Photographer Dylan is stranded at a desolate highway animal rest stop, where beasts maintain their sanity by rewriting human destinies — and violators are either erased or replaced entirely. After multiple failed escape attempts, Dylan exploits a rule paradox to briefly tear open a rift in reality and flee. But he discovers his body has begun assimilating owl traits, and ahead looms an identical rest stop — trapping him in an eternal karmic loop.
